These speed reducers are a replacement and improvement of the old installation on a river dam set. This project shows the BCSA GEAR ability to answer specifics and demanding requests in terms of size, needs matching or installation.
Those different machines have shoe brakes, chain reels, holding tanks, many sensors allowing to prevent risks from overload, chain slackness and position sensors as well.
These gearboxes according to their environment have to be water resistant, consequently we find on those machines watertight casings, stainless steel chains greased by pulverisation and also matching paints.

Speed reducer designed for the train industry with many constraints such as vibrations, noise, size or efficiency.
A part of those constraints are due to the fact that this gearbox is embedded to a moving system.
Technically the AS80 is a speed reducer with an epicyclic gear and an aluminium casing. It allows a reduction of 1/5.86 with a high nominal input speed (24,000 rpm).
The reducer allows overspeed up to 28,000rpm.

BCSA GEAR has made a new gearbox for a turbine balancing machine. We have now a real know-how in this field.
This speed increaser is able to transmit a 7,500Kw power with a maximum torque at 47,700Nm reached at 1,500 rpm. This is a 2 gears gearbox with an auxiliary drive allowing a step by step rotation of the turbine.
Expendable HS coupling devices are used to mach specific constraints as an easy installation and an airtightness with a vaccum room.
BCSA GEAR has realized a 500kW speed increaser gearbox on ball bearings up to 72,000rpm.
The advantage of this design is the stability of the high speed shaft for test bench applications.
This gearbox is used for the development of turbojet compressors.
